does breakthrough bleeding only occur when you are on birth control?

or is it possible to have breakthrough bleeding when your not on birth control. could it also be a sign of pregnancy if your not on bc? had unprotected sex,no birth control, he didn't pull out, abnormal so call bleeding like never before, no flow at all, i'm not stress, i feel fine, sometimes i get dead to thw world tired to were i take nap at work no bull****. and i don't really do much at work it a sit down job.one min i'm ok, the next min i be crying over stupid sh**, when i want to eat something and don't have it. my co-worked sometimes get on my nerves. one min i'm ***** and the next i'm joking. i have not been eating lately, lack of appetitie sometime i can eat but then start feeling sick, i thought it was all in my head, but nope.i want to eat is cookies and cereal and drink water and jucie sometime sprite. i be needing to burp when my stomach feel queasy. could i be pregnant or i'm just over my head.

Breakthrough bleeding can be caused by the pill as far as common cause but some not so common causes can be from stress (both good and bad), infection, hormone imbalances such as with the thyroid or things like polyps that occur on the cervix (I have dealt with almost all of this).

I would recommend that you consult your dr as well to have them evaluate the situation to see what they think could be causing the problem.
