Why is Curt Schilling such a punk? First uses fake vampire blood on sock & now insults Rocket Clemens?

He is a good pitcher but a poor excuse for a person. Only a glory hound drama king would put fake vampires blood on his sock.

Then today, has the nerve to insult Roger Clemens signing with the Yankees? "It would have been nice to have him, but we didn't need him," Curt Schilling said. "I feel like we were a legitimate World Series contender without him."

How dare he insult one of the greatest pitchers of all time? Was this man beaten as a child or some other traumatic experience that makes him such a jerk?

You got it all wrong. It is roger Clemens who is the punk!! How dare he decide with whom and when he will pitch in any given year!! How dare he ALWAYS miss spring training, fail to travel with the team to away games, and then at Yankee Stadium with 52,ooo fans on hand make the announcement he is returning to NY!! In other words, look at me, see how lucky you are that I have decided to pitch here for the Yankees, and on and on and on in his self-adulation. The guy is a total drama king;Schilling is not.The guy is a total idiot; Schilling is not. The guy is a disgrace to all of baseball; Schilling is not!! Worst of all is that given the fact he chooses to return, you'd think he would be in condition and ready to go. OH,NO!! Because that would not give him the next month to bumble through endless interviews, through endless times of more self praise, through constant reminders to the fans that they are so lucky to have him back, and a chance to tell everyone how all of baseball is lucky to have him in the game. Unfortunately he chose NOT to spare all baseball fans from his utter idiocy.

Schilling was right. We don't need that double chinned over the hill pitcher. He was not insulting him, matter of fact, he gave him a compliment in the first part of the statement. Usually, when someone it would have been nice to have him here, it means a compliment, duh. What's he going to say anyways, ya my team sucks, I am so disappointed we did not get him? No he is a leader and he is supposed to say, we are a good team. As far as the bloody sock goes, can't you guys let it go? I mean you choked. You lost four in a row after being up three. GET OVER IT. It has nothing to do with the sock that your team humiliated themselves. Not to mention, Clemens is the most self indulgent jerk on this earth. Soon enough, all you Yankee fans will be turning on him. He's gonna be a big help pitching only six innings and wearing out your bullpen, which is already dead tired...

No one with a reasonable mind doubts Curt Schilling's courage and determination--or the blood on his sock in 2004. Roger Clemens comes in halfway through the season for an enormous salary and attracts tons of attention. Is that bad? No, this is not pro wrestling. Clemens does it because he can. The Yankees will be an improved team because they have Clemens. The Red Sox can never rest on their laurels. They always have to watch the rear view mirror, which is a sight better than watching the Yankees ahead of them.

I don't think this was really an insult to Clemens so much as just another item pointing to Schilling's arrogance and gigantic fat head.

Back when Schilling was a no-name pitching on the Astros, I was a fan of his and tried to get his autograph at a time when everyone was asking for autographs after the game. The players had the choice to go to their cars or sign, and he signed. But he was a total jerk to me and everyone around after he WON the game. He was arrogant even back then. It might contribute to his strength as a player, but it didn't endear me to him one bit.

Curt Schilling is jealous because they are relatively the same age and Roger is still getting attention for a contract, while Curt Schiiling will not be resigned by the Sox because of his age. He is hating on the success of teh Rocket because it shows how old and overrated Schilling actually is and the lack of attention Schilling recieves is just eating him up inside.

I think he just said that for his team. I am sure he would have loved to get Clemens and he is just mad. The Sox are in first place FOR NOW and knows that once Clemens comes back to the Yankees and the rotation gets better, we will be the Yankees everyone knows and loves again and that is too much for Curt to handle. Schilling, the prima dona, had to share top billing with The Big Unit in arizona and then with Pedro in 2004. He had to be over-dramatic in 2001 pitching on short rest (and not being able to get the wins as a result) and then with the bloody sock with Boston. Now he is going nuts because Dice-K is getting all the attention.

I think he'll burst into flames while pitching this year just so he can get people talking about him again.
