Nonsense! Eating dessert before dinner makes you lose your appetite for dinner. Nothing is really lost there.

I've eaten dessert before dinner. Too much sweets without any real food makes me not want too many sweets.
Eating the sweets before hand, I am less likely to over eat at dinner.
It's a total mind game...but hey...I'm not fat!

well the best suggestion i can give here is eat dinner, then an hour and a half later eat your dessert, if you do this the other way around you will probably have a foul taste in the back of your mouth. Hell i always eat my dinner first!

well i think that if you eat dessert before or after dinner you'll stiil have your appetite for both..becuz while your eating dinner your thinkin about dessert which makes you eat a small portion of food and when you eat your dessert be4 you eat dinner you'll still eat dinner becuz you don't want to get in trouble for not eatin dinner..so either way you still eat both...idk thats what i think

Haha yea. Ur right.
But what "they" mean is that dessert is full of sugar and it's very sweet so when u eat sugar u feel more full and fed up then you would if you ate something with less sugar. So ur supposed to eat the meal first to get ur nutrients and health and then u can end if something sweet and delicious! Besides. Remember the saying "Leave the best for last!"

actually, its the other way round... if you have sumthing salty, you shouldnt have anything sweet in the next 3 hrs but if you take in sumthing sweet, you can eat salty things 15 minutes after it.... this parctice will not make you fat.. about the appetite, it doesnt matter if you eat a dessert before your meal, you are full then you dont have to chuck in any more food... so chill out....

When you are an adult....it doesn't matter. You can have your dessert before your dinner or your dessert for dinner.
