I have a part time job at a local nursing home and there's this resident named Phil who lives there. My job is more or less a warm body to call 911 in case someone needs help, so I get to eat breakfast and lunch with these elderly people and I'm facinated with Phil because he's really an interesting person. His charts say he once suffered from depression, but we hit it off well enough that he'll tell me about stuff from 40 years ago like it was yesterday.

my grandfather, he has traveled the world several times over, served in WWII as a pilot and worked for several airlines over the years... he is educated and has a masters degree in Mathematics, like me and my mom, and can tell stories from all different parts of the world that he has seen!
Sadly though, he has also buried two sons, his mother, his sister and his only son-in-law. He has gone through a lot in his 83 years and is still going strong! He survived open heart surgery last year and hopefully will go on to live well into his 100s... I cannot imagine life without him.

I would have to say one of my older friends... he is very interesting... his computer is my Mecca for music, he makes these noises when something odd happens that make me laugh... also he somehow always forgets to turn off or wait until these saws that are roatating at like 350 RPMs, so things break and cut him... he has the wackiest stories... and you can never talk to him and say... that was a waste of my time.

my dad. He has read books, magazines and newspapers every day as far back as I can remember. He seems to know something about just about everything and he likes to pass along interesting stories from his travels.
