Why do they call it disposable douche? Is there a kind of douche you keep after using?

Maybe if you sit on a coffee filter you could reuse the douche. Isn't that how some of the off brand lemon lime sodas are made?

No but there are douche bags that you keep for use with the powder you mix. Disposable is throwing away the whole unit.

Way before your time, and actually mine because I was a little girl. I remember a douche bag hanging from the shower head, draining. It looked like a hot water bottle, so there was one before disposable.

They're talking about the applicator. Years ago women would purchase a bag (hence the term douche bag), mix a solution and pour it into the bag. When done the bag would be washed out to be reused later.

Back in the day, douche bags were not disposable...one simply filled them up with vinegar water for each use. And obviously, they were washed thouroughly after each use.

The entire contraption is disposable, as opposed to the ones in the old days where you had to mix it up and put it in a hot water bottle with a hose attached.

Many years ago, they had a bag that you bought, used and rinsed out to use again. They did not have disposables back in these days.

the container is disposable, but there are douche bags that people keep and reuse. however... don't douche, it's not good for you.

They actually used to sell a reusable douche/bag. Doubt they still do. I don't use either so I don't pay attention.

the answer is: the bottle is disposable, you cannot recapture douche and reuse it, but they do sell bottles you can reuse and mix your own douche.
