my wife and i seperated in february this year,i have just been going through some paperwork divorce papers and marriage certificates etc my wife has been married twice before me ...i am not going to give the real names but her maiden name was jones... after her first marriage her name became smith....then she remarried and became mrs hardy....then she married me and became mrs ward....the thing that puzzles me is that when she signed the marriage licence for our marriage she signed it with her maiden name jones....surely she should of signed it with her last known name ..mrs hardy .... so was i legally married to her

Yes you are legally married cos us women have the options with names. I signed my maiden name when i married the 2nd time!

just because she signed a maiden name doesnt mean anything... its what they ask you to do

Your wife could've had her last name restored after her divorces. The only way to know is to ask her.

She was untruthful to you, maybe there's more she's hiding.

she may have taken her maiden name back in divorce!
