is winantivirus owned or operated by micrsoft?

Win AntiVirus 2007 or Win AntiVirus 2007 Professional are both variants of the SmithFraud Trojan. This should removed ASAP, however using the Windows Add/Remove Applications application will not work in this case. A FREE tool was developed a while ago to combat this trojan and is far better then any of the commercial solutions. I have posted the link below.

Symptoms of this trojan may include:
*Excessive Popups advertizing the pro edition
*Attempted Automatic Downloads
*Home Page hijacked to "http://securityhomepage.com" DO NOT VISIT THIS LINK
*Popups in the System Tray saying "Windows" has found a virus (ficticious virus name).

If it is the same thing I had it is a virus. Try doing a system restore, either that or get some virus protection and run that.

If its what I have in mind, its another virus/spyware thats tricky to remove.
