Chi Guy ... I'm sure you are wired such that you really believe in your views...and that's fine. You watch CNN (or whatever you watch) and agree with their perspectives.
I don't get told what to think on an issue, and when I listen to a particular station it is because they are in agreement with my views.
I personally feel nauseous when I hear the point of view presented by CNN, because what they tell their viewers goes against my sensibilities.
I don't think you are 'thought programmed" by your media source and I am not either.
You have a point of view I do not share, and I can respect that...but your accusation that other points of view are not legitimate is not respectable at all.

I know the question is leading, but let me answer it as if it were asked for information because I think it is an interetsing phenomenon.
Conservatives view/listen to more political talk shows than liberals and moderates. So, those shows that reinforce conservative ideology get good ratings.
You want proof? Try this logic. If the audience for conservative talk shows were the only people allowed to vote, Bill Clinton would never have been elected President.
So, the auidence for these talk shows is disproportionately weighted in favor of conservatives compared with the electorate at large.

I believe that perhaps since Rupert Murdoch owns what some would consider a media monopoly they all really like their jobs and pay scales. NOOO minimum wage mind u.
Neo-o con I don't get your intent? Plenty people buy into his papers, movies and the rest of the empire. Why single out one group?
Or did u answer your own question for us?
Rush is an easy target and I refuse to go there except he is on the payroll. TY

You aren't being totally fair about Fox. Sometimes they are annoyingly to the left. Like Hannity and Colmes, Colmes is a liberal big time! And quite often they have questions about the latest issues and they have both liberals and conservatives on it. Like 1 or 2 of each and you don't see that on the other stations.

I havent ever listened to Limbaugh, but I watch FOX occasionally, as I watch CNN, CBS, ABC and NBC too. FOX is the same as the other four. Except, they lean right instead of left and OReilly is louder than the other political commentators. As far as issues, I do my research. This is why I know abortion is wrong and that protecting the environment is right. This is why I know pulling out of Iraq for political gain is stupid. this is why I realize that Iran is an actual threat and shouldnt be taken lightly. Some of us cons are not as stupid as you would like to believe.

And who do you listen to for validation? I doubt seriously that you have listened to Rush Limbaugh or watched Fox News. Sorry, but most of us are more that capable of thinking for ourselves, obviously you can't, you are repeating a question that has been asked over and over again.

Fox News and the Pillhead are successful because, people don't want information presented through a filter. You may like your information framed a certain way and find the place to get it. Others like it framed differently, and should be free to get it that way.

I am absolutely positive Chi Guy has never listened to Rush Limbaugh. He might have seen Fox News from time to time, but it is obvious by the question he has never heard Rush. But since he doesn't know the problem with his question, I'm certainly not going to point it out to him.

I think that is part of it! It always reminded me of the Colonel in a Few Good Men who said, "you don't want the truth, you can't handle the truth.."
It is like a fix. I watch a few minutes and want to puke. I have never seen a network that compares to fox, though the Manchester Union Leader newspaper used to come close when William Loeb was alive!
