I think it's unique and it'll grow on her.

I always liked Arizona for a girl - so Nevada is fine too.

Nevada is the name of a state, not a girl. Why is it that parents today have to come up with the most original name for their kids but the name is really a name for something else. What about an old fashioned name like Maria. Stop pulling names out of the sky.

I like the name Nevada for a girl. It sounds really flowy and gentle. When I think of it as a girl's name gambling and Las Vegas don't even come into my head. Paired with a traditional middle name, I think it'd be perfect!

I don't particularly like the current trend of name children after states and cities; Montana, Nevada, Dakota. But if that's what you want don't worry about what others think. Do what you like. I like the name Nakia. Means pure and faithful or Natania - he gave

kids can be cruel , unique to you may be a target for name calling for kids. Think how could her name be twisted into something tormenting, you know home to sin city. i personally think the name is unique but you have to put her first rather than being different and fashionable

Can you imagine those nasty children asking others "Have you seen the State of Nevada", it is a pity because if it goes well with your sir name its quite nice.

It would be a pretty name. I 've known plenty of girls named after city and states, so the concept is not original, but I've never met a Nevada.

Also try using words spelled backwords like Nevaeh (heaven).

Name her Montana, its better than Nevada.

Or Carolina, or georgia, or something if you want to stick with the states.

I think that's pretty cool. Very unique, yet not made up. Something the kids won't have a lot of ground to make fun of...again...pretty cool name.
