A word of advice: If you don't know or trust the person, Then Never,Never,Never give them your home or cell phone number!!!! What are the negatives? Everything!!! If they find out where you live, You could become victim to an assorted number of incidence. Examples: 1. Harassment of you and your family. 2. Find out personal information about you and your loved one and fall prey to identity theft. 3. Charge unauthorized calls to YOUR phone(s). 4. house could be targeted for burglary. 5. You might be raped in your own home or someone you care for might be. If he's a real Psycho you and everyone in the house my be killed.. I could go on and on, But i think you get the point!! It is not a perfect world out there and you must protect yourself and the ones you love, What other choice is there? Best of luck..

If it's an untraceable cell number like tracfone - I don't see the harm... however, with your home phone number I could easily do reverse lookup on the internet for free, get your home address and have yahoo give me a map and driving directions to your home.
I would check out the cell phone using several different reverse lookups and see if it traces back to you... be careful and cautious... you just don't know sometimes who you are dealing with - but same could be true of any person you meet that you don't know well... sure have wondered about some of the guys I've been fixed up with or met somewhere... just be careful.

Cell phone bad idea, House phone is a definite NO-NO! I girl from where I live was killed by someone she met on line and went to see. Think twice before you give personal info out. You can take a house phone and get a street address on Any who.com. Someone you think you really know could not really be that person at all.

If you give them your house number, they could easily find out what your address is...and then who knows what they would do, and as the other person said they may never stop calling you even if you want them to. Plus they could be lying about everything they've told you about themselves. They could have lied about their age, their job or grade level, their interests, their looks. You never really know anything for sure except that they have a computer and even then you might not be sure. It's just too hard to trust people online, depending on where you met them online. I don't reccomend giving them your number. If you really want to know what they sound like then a get a mic and talk on here. It's safer.

Are you bananas or something??????
Let me give you a quick scenario here:
You are out at the mall with your friends. This person calls you on your cell. Asks you where you are. You tell them. Someone shows up, says Hi! It's me. And then grabs you and runs. They take your cell phone away, take you to a house, rip your clothes off and rape you. Then you have no way of calling anyone, getting help, and no one will know what these people have done to you because YOU GAVE THEM YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER!
Please never give any personal info to ANYONE on the internet. Obviously you are a minor or you would not be asking this. I wish I had a way of getting to your parents and telling them how much danger you are putting yourself in.

never ever give your house phone number..
this could very well make you a statistic of a internet predetor or someone just as harmfull..
as for a cell number, I would also be very very VERY cautious, Im not sure if you can be traced to your location by a cell number or not...
your best bet, simply comunicate by internet only..and do not give out personal information, no matter how comfortable you feel with your internet "friend"..you never really know who is on the other side of the computer screen...

Not!
You don't know who that person really is! I am assuming you are a teen at the most...
Just because someone tells you something about themselves does not mean what they are telling you is the truth.
Many many teens have gotten into trouble believing what strangers tell them in private and public chats.
Have not seen 20/20???
It is a real risk to your safety. Don't Do IT!
