You could buy a copy of Micro Mart computer magazine, it's only £1.99 and you will find numerous adverts. There are some excellent bargains in reconditioned as new laptops with a full warranty. Also a lot of brand new at discount prices. It's also a good magazine if you want to know a little more about how things work. Hope this helps

I have no idea about the laptop, but all I want to warn you about is Vista. I know someone who recently bought one for around £350 from Comet (Acer) and the on lower specifications, Vista really doesnt work - even though it is supposedly vista compatible and had it built in. My advise to you is to get one with a fast processor, and then when buying to ask if you can add more ram. If you can, get lower RAM built in and buy and fix 512 or something separately, if it works out cheaper.
Dell isnt meant to be that good, but try something like Acer (its alright) HP, Toshiba....
If I were you I would look for around 1 month and be sure it is a good deal you are getting: there are just sooo many deals and you must go through all of them.
Good luck

Hi, I have a Acer 3692 which was £400 from comet. It's available from ebuyer at about £370.
Its a cracking machine and worth every penny of the £400 it cost me. I bought it as we had previously got my son an acer 5612 wlmi which he uses for web design.
The 2 machines are similar in spec but obviously my sons is better as it has dual core and although it has the same graphics accelerator, the graphics are better.
Push another £30 and buy his machine from comet. It was over £600 when I bought his.
Hope this helps
