Negatives: Constant calling. The relationship has a hard time communicating by talking instead of typing.

If it's an untraceable cell number like tracfone - I don't see the harm... however, with your home phone number I could easily do reverse lookup on the internet for free, get your home address and have yahoo give me a map and driving directions to your home. I would check out the cell phone using several different reverse lookups and see if it traces back to you... be careful and cautious... you just don't know sometimes who you are dealing with - but same could be true of any person you meet that you don't know well... sure have wondered about some of the guys I've been fixed up with or met somewhere... just be careful.

A word of advice: If you don't know or trust the person, Then Never,Never,Never give them your home or cell phone number!!!! What are the negatives? Everything!!! If they find out where you live, You could become victim to an assorted number of incidence. Examples: 1. Harassment of you and your family. 2. Find out personal information about you and your loved one and fall prey to identity theft. 3. Charge unauthorized calls to YOUR phone(s). 4. house could be targeted for burglary. 5. You might be raped in your own home or someone you care for might be. If he's a real Psycho
you and everyone in the house my be killed.. I could go on and on, But i think you get the point!! It is not a perfect world out there and you must protect yourself and the ones you love, What other choice is there? Best of luck..

Negatives to your house phone number: They can find where you live!! Negatives to your cell phone number: They may call you nine hundred times. They can stalk you with either number, and that's the last thing you want.

Depends on if you live with your parents, if that is the case then it could be troubling depending on how your parents are likely going to react. Try going mobile or just using internet based "voice over internet".

You may want to think twice about giving a number to someone you hardly know, people can easily present a different person on the internet then real life. Also their are pedofiles on the internet (just guessing)

I wouldn't advise to give your house # cause someone could look up your address. Your cell phone would be ok. I think it's just like giving your # to someone you just met off the street. You don't know if they're crazy or not either.

I just wouldn't! They don't have those freaky stalker shows or movies on tv for nothing. Give people your number, especially your house number, gives them all the info they need to track you down. The area code tells them the area around where you live, and your name is usually on your answer machine. And if your number is listed in the yellow pages etc. all you have to do is type it in on google and it will pop up. Why can't you just talk on answers or email or something. Or talk to your parents if you are young or your friends if you are older, and figure out what is best for you. But if you aren't an adult yet, DEFINITELY don't do it without consulting adults you know first, who you trust. please.

I don't give anyone my home phone # until I know it's safe enough to do so. There could be the possibility of you meeting a sicko stalker harasser...that's always bad and negative...
