the shimmy does not occur when turning left. it occurs while coasting or while accelerating. the harder the turn, the harder the shaking. it is shimmying from side-to-side and feels like the van will shake apart. it started very suddenly. it did not start out as a little shimmy, it was very sudden.

Bent rim?
loose lug nuts?
Broken tie rods?
Buldge on the tire?
Broken CV joint?

Might be a CV axle or steering component.
worst case, it could be a cracked / rusted out frame, in which case you'll likely need a new car.
