Trust it if it is appropriate to do so.
For example, making a decision and your gut feeling leans on what you sub-conciously think is best for you.
Or if you are walking through town and have the sudden, large urge to go back to your car, do it (I know someone who just 'had a feeling' and went back to his car and someone was trying to break in).
Sometime's trusting your 'gut feeling' is inappropriate. Such as having a feeling that your partner is cheating on you when you don't have any proof at all. You just 'have a feeling' (like me who is constantly being accused of cheating which is not based on any evidence at all and I would never do anything like that.. yet he 'just has a feeling').

Good question, sorry i'm in a rush, so i will try to answer this in the best of my ability:
yes, in my opinion, you should always trust your gut feeling, my mother always used to tell me this, but as i got older in life, i experienced things, and i have learnt that your gut feeling is always correct, because i think that it is the most sense you will ever make at that time, and that is deff. what you need in a tough situation...trust me..=((
later, when that moment in time has passed, you will either congratulate yourself for using this feeling to the fullest, or kick yourself in the pants for not...=))
however, it's always up to YOU..so, only you can decide, in the end,

p.s. hope i helped..

Always & never are two words I don't use. Any time I haven't trusted my gut feeling I paid for it in one way or another.

No. We just have one example in our country when an Igorot farmer mistook a person he killed for their household enemy, which later turned out to be US Peace Corps volunteer Julia Campbell.
He trusted his gut feeling, but he now has to languish in prison for it.

Truthfully, there has been plenty of times whenever I didn't listen and I regretted it.....as opposed to the times when I listened and wished I didn't. Hard experience has taught me to not dismiss those feelings.
