I am 16 turning 17 in June. I am just passing high school as it is and i have a great love for film and i think i have the drive to stick with it. I might go for the summer and see what happens oh and i live in Kansas and i feel like im trapped here. Kansas City to be exact.

Finish school first, then go to LA. You will get a lot further if you have your education to fall back on. Why don't you look into going to an acting school, or modelling - if your looks are model worthy. it helps to have a platform to start off on.

Do you have any idea how many kids your age have wanted to do the same thing?? Then they get here and find out that it's not going to happen. Then they end up on the streets as prostitutes. It cost a lot to live in LA. And the jobs you're looking for are not here.

Oh great idea, that way you could put on your resume when do try do get a job, "high school drop out" If I were you, I would find a hobby.I lived in a little town, dropped out myself worked hella jobs until I went back and finished, trust me Minimum wage sucks, bust your hump for 40hrs a week to bring home a skinny paycheck, anyways you could go for the summer but I wouldn't recomend quitting school.

Don't go if you think you're going to get into the business, you won't. You'll end up working two jobs to pay for a studio apartment that cost as much as a mortage. You're co-workers will either be illegal immigrants or people from the mid-west who are screenwriters, actors, and directors.....but never got the "break"
If you're trying to be a director, then hell no...stay in Kansas and make your film.

I just moved away from LA because I couldn't stand it there. It's hard enoguh once you've finished school to make a move like that, I can't imagine how hard it would be at your age. Finish high school and save your money, then head to LA and see if it works for you.

Finish high school, then move out here to LA. What if you move here and you can't support yourself. Then when you try to get a job somewhere, they'll see you didn't finish high school and they might not hire you.
