I am guessing young adult is up to age 21.
Adult 21 to 40.
Middle age 40-65.
Elderly 65 and older.
Just based on most people retire at 65.
I am 55. Is that middle age? Or did I get it wrong.
Feel like 40.

Young adult 18-29 (even though some believe it is 18-25), Adult 30-39, Middle-Age 40-55?, Elderly 60+.
But, I feel really dirty lumping each of those into age catergories, because I feel off! People are starting to feel much healthier, positive, happy than ever before that they seem younger than their true age. Those were just rough estimates, lol.

I don't think these should be the categories. Obviously you are younger than me. I have seen people in their 20's & 30's who were so jaded they might as well lay down & die and I have seen people in their 70's & 80's who never gave up on life or are re-discovering it. Of course, health is a factor, but your mental state is the most important part of how "young" you are.

There are no age brackets anyone can label with!
If you're eighteen and feeding off your parents, not working and laying down and doing nothing, you're a young adult.
If you're 18 and going to NYU, have a one bedroom apartment you're splitting the rent with with your roommate, and have a job at an important NY newspaper, you're an adult.
it's about how mature you are.
on a certain birthday, you don't instantaneously become an adult, or a middle aged person, or elderly.
it's about your maturity level and also how you look and feel.

To me your not old unless you feel like it. There are old people say 60s and up who are young in spirit and they dont feel old just because they look old. Young adult 18 to early twenties. Adult mid twenties to late thirties. Middle aged 40's to late 50's. Elderly 60's and up. You forgot the Teen and the Tween categories.

It depends on the person. I am 40, yet i feel and act quite young. I know of people who are 25 who look and act older than i do.
Age is only a state of mind.
