I love to sing, in fact, I sing out loud in church and my Wife gives me the "elbow" so that I wont over power a lot of people around me, and embarrass her!
I know I "cant sing" because I have heard my own voice and it plain sucks!
Others have heard me and think I can sing, but, I have to wonder about thier sanity now that I have heard myself on playback...
I wish you well...
Jesse

I love to sing and I've been told I sound good.
I think it's all in the head, the stage fright thing. I bet there's some real talent out there going to waste because they won't let anyone hear them.

I love taking part in choral singing - I have been singing in choirs since I was 12 and I am now almost 30. But I have never really been a soloist - although I think my voice is reasonably good.

Yes and No It doesn't matter if people like the way you sing its if you like the way you sing. I have stage fright, but when I get up there and start singing everyone disappears and I'm awsome!

I love it, I do it all the time and stage fright goes away the more you just get up and sing!

i'm a karaoke host, and it is hard at first to get over the nerves being on stage. i have a good voice, but i'm certainly no super-star.
when i first sang with my mother's band i used to sweat bullets, but when you receive the "award" of the applause (and back in the day some ;) fringe benefits) it becomes easier to learn to relax over time.
one of my favorite techniques that i can remember is to really know your song, close your eyes and pretend your NOT in front of people. think of yourself being in some private place and totally alone.

Most people wish that I would sing tenor (that would be "ten or twenty miles away") or solo (that's "so low that they can't hear me").
lol
