How to win people to your way of thinking, in steps:
1. The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it
2. Show respect to the other person's opinions. Never say, 'You're wrong'
3. If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically
4. Begin in a friendly way
5. Get the other person saying 'yes, yes", immediately (meaning, don't let them say 'no' from the beginning, because then it is very difficult to get them to your way of thinking. Ask them 'do you want...?' and then 'would it be good if...' for example)
6. Let the other person do a great deal of the talking
7. Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers
8. Try honestly to see things from the other person's point of view
9. Be sympathetic with the other person's ideas and desires
10. Appeal to the nobler motives
11. Dramatize your ideas
12. Throw down a challenge

Mentally crooked religious leaders who tell children that its God's will to have sex with them and that if they don't something bad will happen to them and their families, the media when they present one side of a story only to sway people in to believing one side or another and Al Gore who is trying to make you believe the sky is falling!s

I have to figure out their personality and then I can use it to my advantage. Some people are willing to please, so you can just ask them and they willingly do it. Others you have to play up to their ego, then they are willing to do things for you. Some people you have to...well I don't want to give out all my secrets.
