You cannot determine intelligence based on a profession. There are a lot of dumb and smart people in all jobs.

What type of doctor? Medical, History, Sociology....Because a psychologist has a Phd. But I would reason that any doctor besides a doctor in the psychology field is more intelligent than a psychologist because psychologist do not have a determined answer for specific problems. If you take 10 psychologist and you ask them what is wrong with patient A, you would probably get 10 different answers.

As a Doctoral candidate finishing my degree in Clinical Psychology I can say that a Doctor does not have more education than I do. One of my best friends is an ER doctor, and she went to school fewer years than I did. That being said I have met many smart doctors and psychologists and many not so intelligent ones. A psychologist is trained in psychology while a doctor is trained in medicine. They are different trainings and not comparable. The question is asking about two highly trained professions and both are very smart. (Even though they may not always use their intellect as mentioned before).

well intelligence can take different forms. The same intelligent person can choose either to be a doctor or psychologist.
It also depends on what kind of psychology.
Generally though.. doctors have to be more "right on" in order to solve a problem or save a life. Where as general psychology is more based on theory and not as usually direct "life threatening".
There can be more ways to solve a problem in psychology. Where as doctor you have to pin the direct cause.
That's what I would think anyway.

I'd consider them both intelligent people -- but that varies from doctor to doctor and psychologist to psychologist. I think it's not fair to compare because they both, most likely, specialize in different practices. Depending on the doctor, he might have to deal with a whole range of issues (maybe even some more physical than mental) unless you meant a doctor of psychiatry?

A psychologist deals with human behavior, a medical doctor deals with the entire human body, so which is more important, what makes John Doe angry or who keeps John Doe alive? The answer is ur choice. In reality, both should be intelligent enough in their chosen professions to be of help to those that need them.

They like most people are more intelligent in specific areas. Although a Psychologist has fewer years of school/training, I wouldn't consider them less intelligent. A Doctor does not in itself mean medical, it means the number of University credits earned.

Again depends on the Dr.....many Reverends are Dr....You decide how intelligent (I won't touch it!)

I think they are both intelligent in different ways. A doctor is more of a "book" smart kind of person but a psychologist is smarter in more "common sense" kind of way

Depends on which individual person you speak wit! I know garbage collectors that are more intelligent than some doctors and psychologists!

In my own opinion, I think neither is more intelligent than the other. They both have different areas of expertise, that allow them to be considered intelligent in many ways.

I doubt anyone could have a correct answer to that. It's more of a matter of opinion, than something that can be proved.
