1. a study I remember from my psych class. a group of students were divided into two smaller groups, group A were to pretend they were guards and group B were to pretend they were prisoners. This took place in a classroom type setting with no locked doors. The prisoners were told rules like they must stay confined in an area said to be the cell. The guards were to act like guards. After a time before the scheduled end of the test the prisoners were resenting the guards and the guards were treating the prisoners like lesser people and things got out of control and the test was forced to be stopped because it became a bit unsafe.

2. Another test which applies to humans tested on lab rats in a cage that became electrified. Two friendly rats had no hostility towards each other but as the cage was electrifed and the rats became aggitated soon the rats turned on each other which applies to humans in very stressful environments.
