I'm writing a book. (not to get published, just for my entertainment.) It's about a girl who moves to Seattle Washington and she finds out she's part wolf. She's apart of a wolf pack and she and Sam, the pack leader, like each other. I've run out of ideas for the moment. Do you guys have any?

I promise it isn't as dumb as it sounds. I can write better than describing my work. So far all the people I've let read it say it was spectacular.

Please note (sorry I didn't include this before!): Other people at their High school don't know any of this. They can chose when to turn into wolves and when to stay human.

Sometimes when you run out of ideas, it means that it is time to move on and write something else.

If you are really committed to this story, then you'll need to research and read books about how people develop special bonds with animals.

Then really imagine that you are the Wolf Girl.

How would you react if you discovered this? Having spent most of your life only communicating with humans, how are you affected by the conversion to the wolf-based society?
How are they responding to you? After all you are only part wolf? Are you accepted? Do they stare and whisper?

Good luck.

I would advise you to research wolves and their behaviors, then incorporate those behaviors into your story line. If you are more interested in the "werewolf" idea, then research that lore to keep your story in the realm of the believable (still necessary in fantasy.) You might need some back story on how she became part wolf. Be careful, though, because this is not an original theme, so you want to find something original to say on the subject. It will help if you know the point you wish to make. This might also prove to be simply an exercise in creative writing, and that is certainly worth your time if it leads you to the next, even better story. Good luck!

Well, I think you need a bigger plot. The love story sounds like a GREAT sub plot or even it is the actual plot it needs some sort of conflict. Like maybe there's another girl in the pack that has been there longer than Sam and is jealous of this blossoming relationship so she stirs up trouble. What trouble, I'm not sure. Maybe she tries to turn the pack against Sam. Or if the pack is a secret then maybe this jealous wolfgirl does something stupid in a moment of envy that potientialy exposes the pack. But this sounds like a very original and interesting book!

It sounds like an interesting beginning, but other than the fact that she thinks she's part wolf, I have no idea where your story line has gone.
Have you ever read One Mississippi, by Mark Childress? It's a fascinating story - leads you down the garden path time after time, but always believably. However, the reason I mention it is that there is a girl in the story who is injured in an MVA, and her memory is distorted. The interesting part of it is, she is a Black girl, but she thinks she is white and when she looks in a mirror, she sees her own reflection as blond, fair skinned with a turned up nose. The way Childress introduces this is almost magical, because he makes it seem so real and so plausible.
I hope your part-wolf girl is able to see herself with that same sort of clarity and directness.

lol funny storyline.... how about sam is killed by some other wolf and the girl vows revenge!..lol i don't know.... or how about sam and the girl recruit other wolves so they can take over other wolves territories......oooooor how about sam gets the girl pregnaut and when sam finds out he kicks her out of the wolf pack... since the girl is not in a wolf pack she has to learn how to survive on her own or she can get in an other wolf pack...
