i bought a 19 yd. roll of vintage oil cloth . i would like to know if anyone out there knows how to sew and work with oil cloth . thanks, zippy

You might try the sail making ways.

I know the weight of the fabric requires you use a heavier gauge needle and thread, the 16 needle should do and theere is buttonhole thread or denim thread.
I have made things with vinyl and fabric backed vinyl but not oil cloth.
