I bought alot of mine at thrift stores..I am small..size 5 so I just bought dresses especially in summer..sundresses work great and if you get them a little bigger they will last through pregnancy and you can just throw a sweater on.if it gets colder. Overalls are great to. Buy shirts that are bigger..dont necessarily need maternity shirts. I wore hubbys gym pants when I got towards then end. Remember you are not wearing these clothes forever so who cares about fashion at this point.
I just looked on ebay...they have tons and tons of maternity clothes lots. Also go to freecycle and sign up for your area and post that you are looking for maternity clothes in such and such size and maybe somebody in your area may just have some they are getting ready to send to the thrift store.

No matter what city, think resale. Some high end resale shops have great buys and maternity clothes are worn only 7 months and are seasonal. If the high end is still too much then call the church assistance ministries some have clothing shops. Try garage sales in the neighborhoods where there are lots of little children. Happy pregnancy!

Sometimes old Vintage stores have good maternity outfits at reasonable prices. Some friends with maternity clothes might let you borrow them.

I found that Old Navy has a wonderful maternity line of clothing that is super affordable....especially when they have sales! I was pregnant last summer and I lived in Old Navy maternity Capri pants and dresses. The clothes are trendy and fit your growing body. Good luck shopping!

Lightly used second hand stores? Can I be honest though, why buy her a whole new wardrobe of maternity clothing that she'll only get to wear for 4 more months? Instead, why not send her to a spa for the day?

Try yard sales, look in the newspaper for people specifically selling maternity clothes. Most of the time you'll find them in really good condition since they're worn for a short amount of time.

Depends on your size......I bought most of my maternity stuff online because I'm too big this time around to wear regular sizes. But JcPenney is cheap and carry sizes s-xl in the store and up to a whopping 4X online Target carries cheap maternitywear up to size XL in most stores and motherhood maternity has great stuff if you catch them on sale....they are literally in every generic mall in the country.
