For centuries, the people were under the rule of what translates to Daytime Bank.

Then, at some point resultant of the Enlightenment Age,
thinking people overtook the singular reign of the 'Bank,'
and branched out their own endeavors.

Originally known as Daylight Savings and Loan, it was
shortened to Daylight Savings in order to sound chic.

In the mid-1970s, when the global-political charade
famously known as the Oil Shortage was in full gear,
a soul/dance/funk music group named themselves
Chic. They toured the world with enormous success,
and the entire system was saved from collapsing,
because their claiming the word for themselves
proved once again that the people had the power.

So the Oil tyrants--er, tycoons--pretended to listen.
Once they realized the people would pay whatever
price they were asked--as long as they were
tricked into thinking they were heard--the energy
goons unanimously agreed that Daylight Savings
would be allowed to continue.

Ben Franklin came up with it to conserve energy and daylight.
you see the farmers were staying up late and using a lot of lanterns and fuel and sleeping while they still had light. So in order to save that daylight we change our clocks to compensate for the lost time.

Daylight savings time was initiated so kids wouldn't be stuck at bus stops in the dark. There really isn't such thing. they just wanted to balance the gap between day and night.
BTW, this is what i think. i'm pretty sure this is true though.

to get to the point...if it were on the old way now..then the sun would've rised at 4 am..and went back at 9pm..not quite precise...so in order to have better sleep :P or longer day light to work..it was introduced the daylight saving time... ;))

Originally it was to make tha farmers happy because in tha winter when tha days got shorter, they had more time to harvest. It is still used, even though it has no purpose anymore.

Personally, i think it was a waste back then too, i mean, just make tha farmers wake up an hour earlier.
