And what was it (in your opinion) that makes the movie not work?

Thanks for everyone chiming in with their two cents. Haven't seen the flick yet because I've heard so many negatives about it. Just wanted to see what others thought.

uh, well, I loved the scene with stan lee, that was great, but I felt the movie just ended with the plan for a fourth installment - even though Tobey and Marie Antonette have said they only wanted to make three movies - so it was a very non climatic ending and just, left a bad taste in your mouth. I did like that you actually had to think through the movie, which is rarely the case with action movies, but the ending was just, it seemed cut short. *(and for a two hour lead up they could have spent 15 more minutes on it at that point)

It wasn't nearly as good as i thought it would be. Way too many villians in one movie if you ask me, not enough time to develop the characters like spiderman 2, thats why doc oc was so good, you really got to feel for him, saw more of his background, with spiderman 3, harry already had somewhat of a backstory which was fine with me i'd let that one go, eddie brock had pretty much no backstory, it was like oh hey im venom now, and sandman was a waste. I will say that Bruce Campbell as the Maitre'd was funny as hell, but that was about it, and when spidey told harry his dad hated him and he was a failure i laughed pretty hard.

Hated it. To much background for a 2nd sequel. The Sandman sucked, of all the powers i have ever seen in comics his was the worst( I'd rather be Ben Grimm). Venom was actually good for the 10 minutes out of 120+ minutes he was in it. Too much wasted film. You were there a half an hour before any action took place. The movie should have had more Harry. He at least kept me awake.I should have got a bootleg copy.

I didn't hate it, I just thought 1 and 2 were good enough movies that this one was a little disappointing. There was one scene in particular (I think when he gets all "bad"), that I couldn't stop laughing. I guess if I had to pin it on something, it'd be that the script wasn't as good as the first two and that I thought there were too many villains.

I did not liked spiderman 3 at all.

The movie was just too long and all it did was show like a couple of scenes forever. You cannot keep making movies about the same things

I saw it and was more disappointed than not liking it. It had some great stuff in it, but there was too much going on. Too many stories, sub plots. If they had just settled on a villian stopped messing with the silly "evil" Peter Parker. and all the
"I'm not really bad", "I'm sorry", it might have been better. And there was SINGING, for God's sake.

I guess i thought it was a bit too corny. I mean spider-mans EMO side doesnt look to good. And the way Harry turns "good?" whats that all about. And my audience wasnt to good either i guess. Maybe that was the reason. Anyway i wasnt feeling it with that movie.

I liked the movie.
I give it a 3 and a half out of 5.
But some parts were just sooooo cheesy.
The dancing. The singing. The emo hair. The emotions. The "I'm sorry I killed this person." - "I forgive you." Honestly...
