Yeah. Old records, including the 78 RPM variety, with lyrics entirely in Italian. Not only were the records really old, but they played them on antique equipment. It wasn't even actually their generation's music, but earlier stuff.

What do you consider strange?
I bet that when YOU become a grandparent, YOUR grandkids will probably think the same of your choice of tunes.
It's all about generations and changing trends.
I know for a fact that my music tastes will be considered old sounding by the time I'm a retiree!

In my opinion, yes. However, my grandmother thinks the music that I listen to is strange (and satanic, but that‘s another story), so I guess it depends on the individual, generation, etc. You can't really compare the music of the 20s and 30s to the music of the 80s, 90s, and 00s. ;-D

Both my parents and my grandparents listen to 60's music...and no, these don't sound strange to me at all. I love the 60's myself. I'll always be a flower child.
"You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should." - a quote from DESIDERATA
