A long (just below the knees) skirt that flares out like the poodle skirt does, with a sweater set (you can make one by pairing a t-top with a cardigan sweater-thats one that buttons up the front) wear with shiny black shoes (like little girls like) . Wear your hair up in a pony tail and put a bandana (can be any color best in really thin material) tied around it.

That is exactly what we wore to school in the 50's.!!

If you want to wear a dress, polka dots are good. The style is fitted bodice, with full skirt. Spaghetti straps OK. Flat shoes with little bobby sox maybe. A good thing w/ hair= ponytail. If your hair is too short, you can pull your hair back and stick a fake p.tail on. Also, take a brighht, silk scarf and tie it around the top of p.tail.

If you can't find dress to suit you, wear jeans, rolled up to mid calf or capris, and a man's white shirt, untucked, sleeves rolled up. Also, tight, small knit sweater would do. Instead of scarf on ponytail, they used to tie scarves around neck, the lightweight, sheer kind. Black & white saddle shoes w/ big socks.

Try glasses w/plastic frames, the cat-eye ones, even w/ rhinestones! Large charm bracelets, red lipstick.Good luck!
