Would 4 GB of Ram be a noticeable differance over 2 GB for gaming?

HARDLY noticeable even in 3DMark benchmarks. Gaming performance is a lot more dependent on the graphics card. Better spend your money on a graphics card upgrade. Just sell your current one.

Depends what kind of graphics card and processor you have. It will be better with that extra RAM but as to how much better the rest needs to be taken into consideration.

Sure why not. DDR2 is so cheap its worth getting 4GB.
