I'm a DVD viewer rather than seeing them in theaters, but:
"Lady in the Water" made me cry... not what I was expecting from the director !!
The last movie I cried at in a theater was "Pearl Harbor"... but that was due to the horrendous acting and the laughingly foolish plot-twist of having two fighter pilots engaged in a) the RAF, and the Doolittle Raid

The Killing fields(one of my fave films) after all that happens, at the end when Imagine by John Lennon starts up and the camera pans up onto the Cambodian chaps US friend it gets me every time and I'm getting emotional just being reminded of it, truly a powerful moment in movie history!

Profoundly normal.
It is a true film about 2 mentally retarded people that had a really hard life being wrongly judged and classified and ill-treated. It is based on the real-life couple who are now married called Donna and Ricardo Thornton. It is an inspirational story. And their life after the film is inspirational too.
I advise that you watch it.

Sandler films so was expecting the worst.
What a great film, it makes you want to ring people and tell them you love 'em. I howled 4 ages!!
