i want to sell a few things and i was wondering...

is it a good place to sell a few coach things that i no longer want? (there's nothing wrong with them)

i know that they charge small fees for little things, do they add up to a lot in the end? what things do they charge for like bolding the title/heading, putting the item up, what else? and how much?

i don't know how to pack the shipment and stuff if i do sell, so how does that work? how much does shipping cost and how do i find out?

how do they charge you and how do you receive your payment?

what kind of experiences have you (or anyone you know) had on eBay? negative ones, positive ones? would you highly recommend it? rate on a scale of 5 stars?

i've been doing my research on stuff like that but there's so much and it's kind of confusing. i'll keep trying to understand it and when i do it'll probably be easy but i just need some help right now.

if i could get good, thorough answers, that'd be great! thanks in advance!

Boy, did you ask a long-answered question. I can try, but I recommend either their site or a book (I believe there is an "Idiot's guide to eBay" or something like that out there.

Yes, selling Coach purses and such on eBay is a great idea. I sell mainly baby and toddler things on there myself.

1) Open an account on eBay. Get a user ID. I may even recommend to buy a few things on there first to get used to how it all works (that's what I did).
2) Click on the link to sell things. You will need a credit card, because yes, it does cost to sell things. the first cost is a posting fee (for me 65 cents each listing, but depending on how fancy you get, or what options you choose...well, it can be cheaper or more expensive).
3) The site will guide you how to do this. You must do things like title your item, write a description, decide on a starting price (often times has a lot to do if it sells or not), decided how you will ship it (post office? UPS?) and how much you will charge for shipping, whether you will charge tax or not, etc.
4) So the posting goes up. You can choose if you want a 5 day, 7 day posting, etc. After your time is up, you either didn't sell it (you're done) or you do sell it. Send an invoice to the buyer...it will include shipping price and final buying price. eBay will also charge you a percentage of the final price as a fee.
5)After you sell it AND you receive payment, ship the item. Don't forget to leave feedback for the person who bought the item.

As an extra there is (6) Paypal. How will your buyer pay you? If you subscribe to Paypal (need bank account I believe) they can pay you through that service using credit cards, EFT, or transfer from bank account. Without Paypal, they will normally send a personal check. My advice...wait until the check clears before shipping the item.

Hope this helps. There are other intracacies in there as well, but experience/time will help with that.
