The way I look at it is that everything comes to an end.. eventually. So cherish the good things you have now because you are aware that they will end. However since you are aware of this, you have some effect on when that end will be.
If you truly have a great relationship with a friend, but you move to a different city, you can make the effort to keep the relationship going (and at times that is hard) or you can choose to let it end (like it will eventually.. when you die)
You have power over your life, the key is to understand what power you have and in what situations you can use it.

In 1985, I was 35 and just out of an ugly marriage. I was very angry. A very wise lady I call Granni, she said to me, "This too shall pass, whether it be good or bad". It is true. THere are mountains and valleys, and that is life. Like in a marriage, I'm not saying that will end, but there will be good seasons and not so good seasons. I do believe in relationships like friendships that aren't as intimate as lovers, they can last a life time, but they will often have their ups and downs. When we had kids, all of our friends that did not have kids yet just kinded of faded away because when you have kids, your life changes radically. You are no longer the free party animal :) you once were , not if you are a real parent.

It depends on the range of good things on the subject of which you speak. A humans life is an indescribably good and wonderful thing. Thus making the human race a wonderfully, profoundly, beautiful thing. But even tho a humans' life may end, the race of all Humanity still runs it course int eh universe. Tho out path is cluttered with good and bad things one must take things to their advantage, and not fret over the minuscule tasks we take on so grudgingly and with despair. Only with pain and sufferin can good things arrive for you , others, and generations to come. Embrace what you have, and thing off the people before us without luxury. Many times end and new eras begin, and many things die, adn fade away, yet new things are born, to live their course of life thru, and serve their purpose.

This is a question of perception.
When a friendship ends, you move into the next phase of your life. When you outgrow a friend, or vice versa, you now move onto the next experience that you will have in life.
When you have a falling out, you are friends with someone with whom you lack compatibility. The end is the beginning of something new and something better -- if you choose to look at it that way.

Hope never comes to an end. I believe no matter what happens in this World, people will still have hope that bad times are the one thing that will come to an end.

McDonald's introduced Chicken Selects to the menu one time and I loved those things. They were the most delicious food I have ever had. Then recently I order some and they changed the recipe. Now they are garbage.
