How are the frog hip and leg alignment different from hip and leg alignment in the primate and why?

The legs of the frog go out to the sides. Primates go underneath, an improvement that was started in the more advanced reptiles.

Peter is right except for the "improvement" part. For frogs having legs out to the side is perfect for them and their environment.

I wish people would stop thinking the primate "alignment" of everything is necessarily superior to other options. It may be different but not necessarily better in all circumstances.
