Your questions are not clear.

1. What is thick and thin? You mean a denser medium and a lighter medium? If the refractive index of the medium changes, its velocity will change and hence refraction (bending) of the light beam takes place unless it is at a direction normal to the surface. Total internal reflection can take place at specific angles.

2. Question not clear. When does the amplitude increase or decrease?

3. The frequency of a wave does not change normally? So, you need to be more specific with this question.

I suggest that you repost your questions with more specific data.
