I would say Ronald Reagan. I think George W is a great man but I think going into Iraq was a mistake and I disagree with him about his Iraq strategy. I like Ron Paul's position on Iraq a lot better.
I pray for the President everyday because he has a lot on his plate right now and I know he is doing his best for our country. I do think his has received some bad advice, especially about Iraq.

Nope not Nixon. Truman in a way because of the unpopular hard decisions he has to make for the good of the country. Or Lincoln was extremely unpopular because of the war. In fact it got him assassinated. Many people though Reagan a blooming idiot. The media had nothing nice to say about the man. The only thing Nixon did wrong was get caught.

My choice would be Herbert Hoover.
Hoover shared Dubya's propensity to do nothing or exactly the wrong thing in every situation.
James Buchanan is another good choice.
Buchanan was the guy that did nothing while the union collapsed and descended toward Civil War in the 19th century.

I would pick Reagan. If you look at Reagan's foreign policy and then Bush's, there are many similarities. Most people believe that he is most like his father, but that is not true. Both Bush and Reagan have similar beliefs on unilaterialism, war, and most importantly terrorism. They both have moral certainty, or the belief that the US is Right and Good, and that our enemnies are evil.

I believe his father, George H.W. Bush (41st U.S. President) shares similar attributes. The Bush dynasty is very much like the Kennedy dynasty...both families were headed by powerful, determined men who eventually believed it was their birthright to control the United States government. -RKO- 05/06/07

Nixon and Bill Clinton were alike in a couple of ways.
(BUT.....Nixon served his country. Clinton was a traitor & Draft Dodger.)
