Your question is a bit to broad. Sex in and of itself is a beautiful thing. It is also a powerful thing. It depends on how it is used whether or not it is "frowned upon". Just like a power plant...use it right and you get electricity..use it wrong..and you get a destructive explosion......

Actually it is a big deal. Sex isn't meant for teenagers. Teenagers are more often than not very naive and irresponsible. Why do you think there's an entire show dedicated to this problem? "16 and pregnant"? I understand that older woman get pregnant on accident as well, but for the most part it's teenagers. They don't fully understand sex and what is right and wrong, which is why so many girls end up pregnant. And they are too young to raise a child. They haven't even finished school yet! Your parents just want you to be CAREFUL so that you don't end up like one of those girls on that show. Not to mention the emotional attachment it creates.

I'm don't think they are,
it's got more to do with who and how many sexual activities and partners you have that may be frowned upon .

because young people have sex just for pleasure and end up the rest of thier life in hell if they did not want babies or if they are teen agers and are having sex when they should be studying and playing sports!!
and another thing... teens get in a habit of watching porn because of this, and thus ruin their future cuz they get addicted.
therefore, sexual activites are frowned upon mainly for teenagers and anyone upto ATLEAST 21!!

because they're sexy!
it's like when you have a really tasty meal and you just close your eyes and make faces and say "oh my gosh this is SO good!!"
...well, also because we live in a society founded by puritans, who always did place a lot of importance on being "pure" (virginal).
i think it's time to get rid of that mentality, though.

because of our countries puritan heritage (the dancing is immoral kinda things) its influence is still apparent in society today ♥
