I went to a fish store, and this guy had like about 50 aquariums, i wanna know how does he filtrate all these tanks. ( i forgot to ask him). About 35 or so of them were all connected to one filter, i think. The filters were of pvc pipe. The tanks were about 15 - 20 gallons each. how did he filtrate all his tanks.

I use a variety of methods in my fish room, but I do have 36 tanks connected together and all connected to one large wet/dry filter. All of the rest rely on separate filters and usually hang on the back power filters except for fry tanks which get sponge filters.

Honestly, I've seen pool filters in petshops connected to the "system" of dozens of tanks.

Keep in mind they are filter well over 1,000 gallons of water. Figure a really big power filter is 500 gallons per hour. A small pool filter is 40 gallons per minute, which is 2,400 gallons per hour... I wouldn't recomend it. I use box filters
