In addition to Bush Intercontinental and Hobby there is a third airport in Houston. It is called Ellington Field. Continental Express uses it. It is a mixed use field (commercial/military/private) and is where Air Force One lands when the President visits Houston.

Bush Intercontinental (IAH)- is the International airport with the most flights it's on the Northside of Houston. Out highway 59 the Eastex freeway by the town of Humble, Texas....
Continental Airline's hub is out of this airport.
Hobby Airport - is on a bad side of town out I-45 the Gulf Freeway It's on the SE side of Houston, you can get cheaper flights coming into this airport.
There are small private plane airports off FM2920 toward Tomball, one off FM1314 in Porter.....
