Define "better."
The Mustang has a lot of horsepower, pretty good handling for its size, and I see more 20 year old Mustangs on the road than 20 year old Hondas where I live. That doesn't necessarily mean they are more reliable; it could mean that Mustang owners are more likely to pay to keep their cars on the road for the long term than Honda owners. But I figure it says something good about them, even if exactly what is open to debate.
Hondas cover a lot of ground, as you could mean a Civic, an S2000, an Accord family car, etc. They've typically got nicer interiors than a Mustang, and most of them get better mileage and do better in initial quality surveys. The sportier Hondas out there seem to corner a bit better than a Mustang on a very twisty road, but often the Mustang can hold its own in autocrosses and such by being able to accelerate harder out of corners.
So it depends on whether you are looking for speed or practicality.

The Mustang is cool and all however the tires in the back don't last as long so you'll have to constantly change tires. Plus it's a GT V8 so it eats alot of gas. A honda is probably the better choice. Because it saves gas, runs forever, and is very cheap to maintance.

It depends on if you want power or reliability. The Mustang GT comes powerful right off the lot. The Honda, lacking in Torque, does not, but its dependable and easy to modify into a powerful machine. I've seen old Civic Hatchbacks that could eat most cars for dinneer because of it's light weight. So basically it depends on what you want. Power or reliability?

simple answer is; when your going round a corner do you want to be lookin out the windscreen or the side window? the mustang may have power but the honda will leave it sitting when the road gets twisty and on acceleration. Honda also build the most reliable of the two. I'd recomend a manual intergra type R, it was the best handling front wheel drive car on the road for years. It'l be my next motor. Theres also somthing lovely about hearing the vtec cutting on a honda and watching the rev counter fly up to 8500RPM. mmm.

IMO there is a replacement for displacement: Honda.
But it depends on what your looking for. If you dont know much about cars and want something fast stock, then get a mustang and be like everyone else. Otherwise look at a honda/acura, swap and build the engine, then turbo it and you have a quick little thing that you have pride in and can still be a decent daily driver. lol

i think hondas are better.. more reliable and cheaper on gas and hondas can go as fast as mustang gt's you just got to buy things for them to go faster. Mustangs which is ford make, well fords are not good, in the future they breakdown cause of lots of stuff unless you drive like a grandma and maintenance is upto date all the time. if you were to ask me i'll choose a honda just cause its reliable and cheap on gas. but i own both make cause i know about cars and knows how to fix both

I can speak from experience on this one. The Accord wins on practicality and economy, but the Mustang is way ahead on the style and fun factor.
