It does say a bit about the owner, since unless it was a gift one can safely assume there was something about the car that motivated the owner to pick it. However, different people may pick identical cars for completely different reasons. One Miata driver, for example, may have chosen it because it's cute, and another may have chosen it for its racetrack performance.
The only particular judgement I'd make about the two cars you listed is that the owner either has a lot of money or a lot of debt.

It just says a little about the type of person you are. If you drive a frugal sedan, it says that you are pretty close with your money, or you dont have a lot of it.
The A8, or M45, says you like performance, and you know something about cars, have a fair amount or money, or you are deeply in debt.
This really is profiling, and you can't do it with any anything other than a guess. So don't count on it being correct. It just may be correct, from past experiences with people you've met driving the same cars. good luck.

I don't think it should say what kind of person you are but it doesn't mean that people listen to this. I think people to look at what kind of person you are by your car. When you see a minivan you think poorish family..... When you see an Luxury SUV you think rich family. I drive a Mustang GT. People think I am a young auto racer all the time.
I think an Audi A8 or Infinity M45 says you are doing well in life. I would say you would be a well to do middle class person.

It is true. My car says I'm as poor as hell. (94 corolla) Those cars say you're rich and can afford a cool car.
