I still believe it will be a tough climb for the Yankees. There are getting old in the bullpen and remember Clemens is not an everyday player but he should provide positive impact and the post-season seems brighter but they must make a deal to bolster their bullpen .

There chances are great. With Roger Clemens and his experience in the playoff and the way he pitches maybe the younger people in the bullpen and the starting rotation well be better with his help working on the pitchers. He is like a hero and someone legend. believe me the team would step up and be something when he returns at the end of the month or the next month

I am not a Yankees fan (I am a White Sox and Mets fan) but I do think they will have a good shot at the playoffs this year.

Their staff should be fully healthy to start June. Clemens, Mussina, Pettite & Wang is a very good staff. Their hitting of course is awesome as well. I think Boston will cool down as well and the division should be a good race.

I do think the wild card is coming out of the AL Central, so the AL East race should be a good one the rest of the way.

There will be not appreciable improvement. Clemens is well past his prime and between 15 and 20 starts isn't going to change things very much. More hype than substance. Yankees are still the best team in the AL East regardless of their slow start. It's a 162 game season. Let's see what happens.

The bullpen is the yanks weakness. They are being used too much we need new minor leaguers to pitch in the bullpen. If the bullpen gets stronger and also the Red Sox need a couple of their big players to get injuries for the yanks to have a chance at winning the wild card or the division because it doesn't look like Boston is slowing down any time soon.

Certainly better than before, but we need to remind Yankee fans that Clemens only pitches every five days. And you're also going to need probably 94 wins to make the playoffs this year. Good luck with that.

It has to help their chances, although if they don't make it, Cashman will be history. A $28 million "minor league" contract for what, 20 starts if they're lucky? Nice work if you can get it ... George better did a little deeper and find him some bullpen help if they want to get deep into the playoffs, though.

Edit: C'mon Timmy, wottya slacking? Make with the thumbs down already, lol!

I think that they should worry about getting out of last place in their division first. It is pretty sad when the you have a better record than only the Kansas City Royals.

They are still an old team that is still crippled by injury. I don't think they will make the playoffs and I think this is the end of Torre and Cashman
