I know NOTHING about cars! All I know is that I should check the pressure every month, but I bought my car in November 2006 and I haven't since.

Does anyone know where I can go to get this done? I know I can't do it myself. And I don't have any friends nearby who could do it for me. Can I go to some full service gas station where a mechanic could do this for me???

Best answer goes to the person who can tell me a place near Redmond/Bellevue, WA!

First, you need to know what is the correct tire pressure needed for your car - this information can usually be found in your car user manual or at the car's doorjamb. After that, it is a matter of monitoring and maintaining on a regular basis - and it is usually once a month for cars.

You know how to drive a car ... therefore, you do know something about cars. You are aware of the maintenance that should be done and that is a good step towards knowing more. You can look up any service station, tire station, etc near your location if you want to observe hands on way of checking. The source below can help eleviate your fear of the simple task. Your fingers may get a little dirty depending, but some soap and water will clean that right up. Good luck, and God bless. You can do it.

You can go to the nearest full service gas station, and they should be able to do it.

I suggest going to an auto parts place, like autozone, pep boys, or whoever you have up there. Buy a tire pressure gauge, and they are so simple to use. Look at the tire rim and find the vavle stem, unscrew the dust cap, and just push the tire gauge on the valve stem and read the pressure it says. Good luck,

Checking tire pressure is easy. Pick up a tire pressure gage at like Shucks, or Autozone, or Napa, and then take the cap off the tube you use to put air in the tire and stick the gage into it. Press into it and you'll ear a blast of air and the gage will tell you what your pressure is. The tire it'self will have writing on it telling you what your pressure should be. Any expert at one of those autoplaces can tell you out to do it. It's quite easy. :) If you need to put air in your tire, most gas stations have an airpump you can use for free.

Most convenience stores/filling stations have a air pump with a gauge attached to the hose. Put the gauge on the tire valve and read it.

stupid no, yet in case you had listened to what he suggested you'll not sound so stupid. He quoted information from Bush's personal Dept of ability, and his aspect became that if everybody saved their tires with the most outstanding tire rigidity and saved their engines tuned up, we would keep more effective barrels of oil than drilling receives us in the subsequent 10 years! Even McCain had to expose back on that one!

Try an AutoZone or Car dealership or something..........Really there is nothing to it, if you ask them I'm sure someone would be willing to show you how to do it, and tell you the correct pressure.
