In the real world it shouldnt be a big deal but this is America............not the real world!
Wait.....New England Patriots........Foxborough, Mass..............
beantown, Boston,................Red Sox. Red Sox fans will be hittin Ole Tommy Boy with everything they can get there hands on. He better not go to any Red Sox games,.....you know to show support to the hometown team and all.!
Hell the State of Mass. might actually find a way to sue Tom(ie-Fine him, he is an athlete) for this outrage!

Who cares? It's his head, if he wants to wear a hat so what. The fact that it is a Yankees hat means nothing, since he plays football.
But from his perspective, it's probably not a very good move. Playing for the Patriots, he probably has some advertising opportunities in Boston which have been lost or severely damaged by wearing the Yankee hat. Some consumer in Boston might decide not to buy something Brady endorses because he wears a Yankee hat rather than a Red Sox hat. But I doubt that Brady's pocketbook is so thin that he has to worry about losing a local endorsement deal or two. Maybe it gives him an endorsement in New York instead.
Would anyone care if it had been a Cubs hat instead?

I think that it isn't as a big a deal as it should be. That doesn't neccessarily mean that he likes that yankees. It's like that ESPN commercial with David Ortiz trying on a Yankees hat to break it in for a Yankee player. It's not that big a deal. If anything he should be wearing a wolverines hat. GO BLUE!!!

Dude....does it really matter what team he roots for? He's a fan of the game! Is it wrong to like the Yankees? There's nothing wrong with being a Yankees fan (unless you're a Red Sox fan or a Yankee hater).

How do you feel when I wear a Texas Longhorns cap one day and then a Texas Rangers cap another? Both are different sports, and as long as he doesn't wear another NFL team as a cap, he can wear whatever the heck he wants, even though I do hate the guy a lot, it doesn't really hurt to wear a Pro Baseball cap. This is America, it's free will, am I correct?

He lives in New York. Therefore, he likes the more popular (but worse) New York baseball team.
