What is the point of coming here and bashing elected officials (I never said Bush was the sharpest tool in the shed...he was the less of 2 evils...better than Kerry by far!) by venting how bad they are or how bad they're screwing things up?

No matter who is elected will inevitably screw SOMETHING up...most likely a LOT of things.

Look back on past questions. Show me ONE where a VIABLE solution is presented. True, there rarely is a good solution, but just show be one where a rant has taken place and something that actually makes GOOD sense is offered.

If one has been, and if it IS a good solution. SEND IT TO EVERY CONGRESS PERSON IN THE COUNTRY! Then run for office.

Trust me, this is respectful. Because I would really like to know a good way to reduce the bickering among our people. This country hasn't been this divided since the civil war.

You are reasoning with people who are ill- They hate Bush, dad, boss, America, their jobs. They need psych help- not logic.

Because everything we've presented as a viable "alternative" has been openly scorned by the opposition as being a "plan for surrender".

It's a no brainer. The opposition wants war so they can profit off it at the expense of the US taxpayer. Anything short of that ideal is considered 'blasphemous'.

So you are comfortable being led by the village idiot, I see.

No surprise there. But you seem to believe that any solution short of military expansion and totalitarian conquest should be discarded and thus trampled on as being "bad".

And you wonder why Iraq is in the ****-state it's in right now...?

Kerry served, with honor, and waited untill his return to express his distaste with what was happening in Viet Nam.As is his right and duty as an American.Bush couldn't even show up for Guard duty.He has never put himself in defence of country, has little regard for servicemen. That's why we're in this mess,we're just pawns on the board to him. That said, politics is like a stampede,it's already moving when you take office, and it's difficult to change it's direction.Eliminating PAC's,making all donations anonymous,so office holders owe no favors, would be a first step.

I write my congress people all the time and I vote. Why do I have to run for office especially when I don't have the resources. I am inclined to respectfully tell you that your question is quite skewed. And so is your sense of what the lesser of 2 evils are. I didn't vote for Kerry, but I can tell you that he was by far the lesser of two evils. And, we have history on our side that proves that point. And, it's obvious that he had much more respect from our allies than Bush ever did.

Perhaps you are not old enough to remember that there was a time when the President had the respect of the world and, most especially, the American people.

While it is true that even Presidents are human and make mistakes, it is also true that in the past those mistakes haven't cost 3300 American soldiers lives, 50,000 or more permanently crippled or maimed, almost 1 million dead innocent citizens of a country that was invaded illegally and caused that country to have a coupla million refugees.

Bush is a criminal. He and his cronies have ruined Iraq, destroyed it's infrastructure, residences, schools, museums, hospitals, utilities and it's people. He is directly responsible for the increase in terrorist activities in Iraq (which was free of al-queda under Saddam) and the rest of the world.

And, all of this for control of the Iraq oilfields....He is a shameful human being and should be tried for high crimes and treason. They should drag him and his cronies before a world court and try them for their crimes against humanity.

There is no point! I mean everyone acknowledges that bush as missed with this war on terror, foia, and so on. Every president has his good things and bad thing it is just sad that bush as to be remembered for only his bad things!: P.S: I am independent because I don't choose sides until I hear the issues and the can's position.

I can give you a lot of solutions, but please remember you MADE the mess, and are going to leave it to someone else to clean up!

Bush damn sure was not better than Gore!

When are neocons going to come up with a solution that doesn't involve tax cuts to the rich, VA cuts to Veterans Hospitals, and TRILLIONS in deficit to corporations on welfare with no-bid government contracts and no strings attached!

You got us here!

And when is your ilk going to stop bashing a person who hasn't been president for 6 years and don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. A good one is that Clinton was impeached. Sorry, they didn't have the votes to convict him and he was not impeached. NO president has ever been impeached!

I just named 6 or 7 to a question what would be the 1st 3 things you would do as president!

And I sure would get us out of Iraq and out of a sectarian civil war! I don't care about Iraqi oil!

Since this is a democracy, it is important to express your opinions about the people in office. That way, you can convince others to vote differently next time.

Logic doesn't work well with them. They only cast insults at Bush, and most liberals just jump on the bandwagon. Never have I seen a solution from them that wasn't something that was horrid.
