if you are talking about a standard 9 inning game, then about 2 1/2 to 3 hours give or take. A's are quite good with the really fast game. Last week they were done in just over 2 hours for a game. However, if it involves the yankees, usually at least 3 - 4 hours. I recently saw an article on sfgate.com that said that the yankee games usually are minimum 4 hours. they have a very slow pace.
and number of innings doesn't really help either. For example the cubs vs. nats game was 3:18 today which went 10 innings, and then the indians vs. orioles was standard 9 innings, and that was 3:24. so the cubs/nats played an extra inning but less time.

On a Normal Day around 2 1/2- 3 hours
Extra innings it could go on for 4-5 maybe 6, or more hours
its not a timed game

7 inning Little League games go on for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, and 9 inning MLB games go on for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
