I understand that most of the classic rock that I love today was once pop music, but what happened to all of the talented musicians and the meaningful lyrics? Have we as a society given up on music as an art form? Not only that, but we have made the untalented successful by herding into the nearest mega mall to support their mindless rubish.

The pop music of days past had to have a reason to get people to want to buy an album. Even when the singles were successful, it was the album's art that ultimately made the scene. The substance of the music reflects this.

Today's garbage can be downloaded for free. No one is so unspoiled to pay attention to the art of a whole album. The sooner you can get one catchy single out, the sooner it can be sold. Albums don't seem to matter to these "perishable songs" lovers.

And who wants to hear an album of fast and slow songs today if all today's listener can handle is their specialized kind of music? Remember when radio stations played R&B, top country and pop rock ON THE SAME STATION? It won't happen in today's world.

Deadmau5 and Skrillex a minimum of have such a lot of lovers it is insane If you desire to make colossal $$$$ in Metal or Rock, you'll be able to ought to be EXTREMELY mainstream pleasant like Avenged Sevenfold, or Nickelback. So to sum it up, be mainstream or ought to get a truly task someday.

I used to be into the pop scene back in high school...when you go back to it, the music and lyrics are just plain ole repetive about the same crap over and over again....after that, I just got sick of it. I just think you can't stay in one music genre for too long, you gotta branch out to different types of music to understand what's going on around you...and I don't think understanding the lyrics to "...Baby one more time" will not update you to the present times...
