So far it defines itself as a cheap grade class car, its 800 model has done the damage to its image, 800 has almost replaced the FIAT name. Maruti is called as funty and people feel ashamed to say that they own a funty. Maruti should do something to improve its image in todays competitive and fancy car scenario.

It depends upon location, but generally minimum range price of new not second hand Maruti cars in India starts with Rs 150,000/-

Better if u have just learned how to drive cars, i will suggest u go for second hand car b'coz if u will have damage also in an accident then also there wont be any problem as far as ur car concern b'coz there is heavy traffic in delhi and NCR.
Maruti is also having authorised show room for second hand cars it is called pre authorised car or something, i know one which is in gurgaon just next to 32 miles stone.
