If I update my site twice a week, how can I get a copyright to carryover onto those updates?

Ummm...I want a legal copyright, not a few words on a page...

Copyright requires a fixed form. If you feel that your site has the potential to require enforcement action against infringers, then you should burn a fixed CDrom copy of each updated version with a time/date stamp. keep this on file. If it is worth protecting, it is worth the price of a CD burn.

putting a Copyright tag on your site is pretty much all you need to do. Unfortunately there will always be people out there who steal your content and sell it off as their own. If you want to actually see who's copying you, use http://www.copyscape.com
