Like normal audio cd's, MP3 disks, data files, ect...? Or ONLY DVDs? This is mostly to clear up a debate.

YES!!!
Look at the compatibility table in this link. Look for the green boxes that says "write". That also means "burn".

If its a DVD-RW burner, it will burn normal CD's, DVD-R, and DVD-RW discs. it wont be able to burn DVD+R or DVD+RW discs.
