Not only is it a bad idea, it's ILLEGAL!!! You are a minor. Anyone over the age of 18 that would date you could go to jail for statutory rape. It's a bad idea all the way around. Stick to guys your own age. Some states even have a limit to age differences between two people involved in a relationship.

Anyway, for a 20 year old guy to ask a 14 year old out means he's got some SERIOUS issues. He should be sticking to people his own age anyway. He probably has control issues, and feels that if he picked someone young, he could control them and convince them to do stuff you wouldn't normally do.

Stay away from this guy, he's icky!

That's wrong for a 20 year old to ask out a 14 year old. If a 20 year old is asking out a minor; it's probably because no one his age wants anything to do with him.

ew! NO! What the he11 would a 20 year old want with a 14 year old? And vice versa!. 14 is way too young to date seriously! You were perfectly right to say NO to a 20 year old asking you out.

It is in no way, shape or form right for a 20 year old man to asking a 14 year old girl out. Did he know your age? You did the right thing saying no. A lot of girls in your situation would be flattered, but it's creepy. What would a man see in a child? Good on you!!!!!

You are very smart for saying no. When I was young I was being approached by guys that old and ended up spending time with some of them, etc. My parents would have died if they found out which they never did but now that I'm older I definitely understand that it was wrong. Being 20 myself now I can't imagine approaching a 17 year old old guy much less a 14 year old. There's something very wrong with that.

It's ok if the 14 year old marries the 20 year old.

You did the right thing by saying NO, Baby Girl. It wasn't right for me to date a 20 year old when I was SIXTEEN. My mom woulda had a fit if I was 14. That "relationship" only lasted 3 weeks, and I got out of there at the FIRST sign of physical abuse. Should have got out sooner when there was emotional abuse. But I learned my lesson.
I am so proud of you for saying no.

NO. Not only is this extremely WRONG, but it's against the law. A 20 year old has no business asking anyone underage on a date. What a pervert!

I am so happy that you made the right choice. I may be like 12, but I mean date a 15 year old! Not some guy who may be a pervert. Good for you for saying no! Just forget about it and move on to someone in your grade! I hope he gets caught doing that by the police and gets arrested! You don't need him! Just be happy and forget about the whole thing! no regrets.
Hope I Helped
