I like it! I'm not actually sure if I've ever gotten one, but I give some before and if someone put an inaccurate answer, I give them a thumbs down so that the asker wont get confused (but I don't do this on questions that you answer with an opinion).

I think it should stay:

No.1 it helps the questioner pick a good answer

No.2 It lets the idiots who got about 20 thumbs downs know that no-one thinks they are funny and they need to get a life

It should stay but, who are the idiots that give you a thumbs down for stating an undisputed fact? If someone asks "is the world round" and you answer "yes" you can bet someone will give you a thumbs down - duhhhhhhhhhh!

Stay, and they should let all thumbs up be counted instead of just the first 50

Defo stay, saves you the time of typing an answer if somebody else has already covered it and lets you indicate that you agree with them. Also gives you a chance to let all those plonkers out there know when they've put something silly.

It should go, I feel the people who vote are the ones also answering the question and just give everyone else a thumbs down to take the best answer. I think it definitely should go, it isn't a fair voting system.

I really don't care much about that but I wish they would bring back the thumbs down for a bad question.
